MARIE R. PAUL ST-JUSTE & ESSENCE DE BEAUTÉ

My name is Marie R. Paul Saint-Juste, also known as Rosie. I was born in Saint-Marc and grew up in Liancourt, Haiti. The second of three children of a farming family, I learned at a very young age about animals as well as plants and their benefits.
INSPIRED
My parents taught me to work hard and give my best. I watch my mother selling our farm products at the market, she gained customers' confidence and captured their attention. She made me very proud. I felt inspired to follow in her footsteps. However, I never thought I’ll be one  of the leaders in the cosmetic industry.

Naturally curious and keen to study, I was one of the best pupils in school. After elementary school, my parents sent me to Jamaica to continue my education. At that time, I felt the need to take off towards far away regions, and I chose New York. In this big new city, I took charge of my life. I studied to become a laboratory technician and finally continued to Long Island University Brooklyn (LIU) and I became a nurse in 1986.

As a young adult, I had a constant battle with acne. I did everything I could to recover my skin back to their former days. Finally, I decided to use the old techniques passed down by the women of my family. They knew how to make use of plants and their medicinal properties. In my small Brooklyn apartment, I created mixtures and manipulated with botanicals and chemistry to create a remedy which would effectively solve the problem.

Proud of my results and encouraged by my doctors, friends and colleagues, I registered at York College of City University of New York (CUNY), where I studied chemistry and obtained my bachelor degree in 2000. Aware of the need to relieve and improve the skin problems affecting many people in my community, with 500$, I created my first product made with papaya.

I designed another product made with papaya and collagen which I called, “The Miracle Product,” to eliminate side effects caused by medications on the skin, in particular, black spots. To better understand beauty in all its facets, I decided to combine business with pleasure and completed hairstyling and esthetics courses at Christine Valmy International School of Esthetics - laser/skin (2007-2010) and at the Empire Beauty School, hair/cosmetology school (2009-2010).

Today, my company manufactures and distributes a complete collection of beauty products known as Essence de Beauté, approved by the FDA in the United States and Health Canada. Our products are sold at prices varying between 25$ and 75$.

Essence de Beauté is sold in Miami, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Congo Brazzaville, Congo Kinshasa, and in Europe.

My clientele is now established and comes from different communities: European, Afro-American, Haitian, Indian and Latin American. Many high-quality ingredients coming from several regions in the world such as Taiwan, West Africa, Japan and Antilles are used to help everyone grow more attractive, feel good about oneself and be more self-confident.
Mother of two children, steadfast business woman, I have been honoured and received several trophies in Africa and Europe for my courage, my determination and mostly for the quality of my products.
Very committed to my community, I support, through Essence de Beauté many charity organizations, churches, synagogues and community centers. For 2017, I gave myself an important challenge that is to set up the Marie R. Paul Saint-Juste Foundation which mission will consist of accompanying, helping and working with the most disadvantaged people.
Today, from earth to beauty I created the amazing range of Essence de Beauté products.
If I am going to conquer the world, the purpose is to make it more beautiful than ever.
